Business Systems Analysis: Essential Techniques

Foundational Knowledge

No foundational business systems analysis or technical knowledge is required.

Introduction

Project management of business projects has undergone a paradigm shift. Contemporary project management has evolved to become a dynamic and flexible approach that reflects the rapid changes in technology, organizations and development approaches. thomsett INTERNATIONAL presents a radical model of project management that is driven by the need for faster delivery cycles, full business involvement and higher productivity and quality. The role of the Business Systems Analyst in defining the content of the business project is becoming more and more significant in this environment.

The Workshop

This three day workshop introduces an integrated set of analysis and modelling techniques designed to help the Business Systems Analyst in understanding and documenting the complex areas of project scope, objectives and added value or benefit expectations. In addition, the workshop presents powerful modelling tools for translating the business objectives into system requirements.

These techniques have been developed, adapted and applied by thomsett INTERNATIONAL in many business and IT projects over the past 18 years. They are considered by experts as Best Practice and have been adopted by many leading organisations as a standard.
